About us

STILL VIVID, an international film production company based in Reykjavík, Iceland, was founded in 2022 by renowned producer Anton Máni Svansson, who previously co-founded FRÆ Films in 2007 and Join Motion Pictures in 2014, earning acclaim for producing director-driven films of exceptional artistic quality and international recognition.

With a steadfast commitment to continuing the journey initiated in 2007, STILL VIVID is poised to build upon the foundation laid by Anton’s previous companies. Anton’s productions, including notable titles like HEARTSTONE, A WHITE, WHITE DAY, BEAUTIFUL BEINGS, and GODLAND, have so far garnered over 230 awards along with widespread acclaim at esteemed festivals like Cannes, Berlin, and Venice. Moreover, his films represent 40% of the total international awards for Icelandic film & TV productions over the last decade and have been Iceland’s submission for the International Feature Award at the Oscars in 2020, 2022, and 2024, with GODLAND shortlisted in 2024.

Throughout his career, Anton has meticulously cultivated a robust network of co-producers and collaborators across Europe. He is a member of the European Film Academy and an alumnus of programs such as EAVE (2014), EFP Producers on the Move (2017), EAVE+ (2019), and ACE 33 (2023). His contribution to the Icelandic film industry extends beyond his productions, encompassing board roles for various associations and festivals, as well as chairing SÍK – Association of Icelandic Film Producers and ÍKSA – the Icelandic Film and TV Academy.
